Next Version of Zombie Mower
I just emailed everybody the latest version of Zombie Mower. 'Game Over' works now. The store actually uses the correct prices. The only issues are:
- When the helper mowers die and/or are bought again from the store.
- Main Menu before the game starts.
Also, I forgot to turn off the money and level debugging. so money is based at $1000 as apposed to 10 and 2 pick ups as apposed to 25.

Week 3
Concepts Drawings for the Zombies, Humans, Obstacles, Mower, power ups, Environments and FX are all DUE TODAY.
As of right now, we have most of the concepts done, environments still require some attending to. Mower needs to have helpers added to him. Zombie wall is coming along. And the store and money systems have been added.
Animations will be started Today. (7/29/14) Tweaks in the environments will be made this week.
Animations will be due on the 7th of August. Any Characters not animated by this time will not make the game for Midterm.

Push Mower To Shopping Cart
Example of Backgrounds
Just so everybody knows, the layout for the backgrounds for our game should be similar to this. It is from a game called 'Lucha Fury'. Its a 2-D side scrolling brawler. Just imagine the characters as the mower and the enemies as the zombies/humans
Gameplay as of Week 3
Gameplay that has been implemented:
- Mower Movement
- Zombie Interaction (Magenta Squares)
- Human Interaction (Cyan Squares)
- Power Ups (Blue Squares). So far the only 'power up' is money acquisition.
- Obstacle Interaction (Red Squares). This needs to be a lot more dramatic.
- Zombie Wall Interaction (Purple Wall). Not shown very much during this video.
- Store To Purchase Upgrades.
Some of the only things left to add are the Title Menu and a Game Over condition.

Switching from murder to save will change the image to a net in front of the mower to catch survivors.

Week 2
This week, we refined the roles that we will be doing.
Andrea and Akila have agreed to do 4 humans and zombies each.
Programming is coming along, and has the basic structure of the game set up.
A rough zombie mower has been made as well.
We decided that the concept art would be due on Tuesday of Week 3. And we would see what each other would be up to during Thursday class to see if everyone is on track.

Zombie Mower Roles Breakdown

Manis, Announcment
Hi,
Just wanted to write about last weeks in class meeting and group progress. Well, good job so far everyone. I think you all came up with a great idea for a game and it sounds like it's going to be allot of fun. I am glad you guys took the initiative to break down the game and giving out roles and tasks for people to do.
Josh- Don't forget to add on the blog, a list of what everyone in the group is to be working on. Also include everyone's contact information on the blog, so that everyone can check it if need be. Next class everyone needs to come up with a schedule for the quarter on what needs to be done. Also, you took a picture of what was written on the board in your groups brainstorming session. It is best if you actually type what was on the board so it is clear. Or at least you need to post the picture on the blog so everyone can see it. It would also be good for every group member to have a copy of it, so you should also put it in the dropbox.
I look forward to see how this game is going to develop. See you all next week. Come to class prepared with all concept images and be ready to work.

Create an approved title for your post.
It should be (your last name / your first name and what you are doing)

Create a label for your post.
It should be (your last name / your first name and What you are doing.
Example: Towns Joshua, Blog
Separate labels by commas
Log in to edit your post.
Some of your post will have multiple parts to them, just make one post for all of them you can log in to edit and "update" your post.
When editing / adding to your post, just go to the end the post and write and center:
Add images to your post.
I recommend uploading images as PNGs, they are a loss-less format.
Please only upload clean scans.
Please make sure your art looks professional in its presentation.
Add movies to your post.
If you use GIFs for movies for this class you must use the image button to add them, even though they contain movie information, you must use the image button.
You can post a movie right into your post if it is in Quicktime or AVI format.
Posting in the appropriate week.
